Team Refuge: Winners of The Polar Race 2007

Jake and James took part and won this year's race to the Magnetic North Pole (www.polarrace.com/2007), not just for the adventure of walking 400 miles across the Canadian Arctic, but to raise £250,000 in order to establish a new trust fund to cover the life-saving medical evacuation of refugee children.

For example, a child with acute appendicitis need not die pointlessly in a refugee camp simply because the funds do not exist to help. Instead aid agencies will be able to access the trust fund and avoid yet another pointless death.

James and James are passionate about this cause and determined, with your help, to reach the £250,000 target. It is a project they hope to remain involved in for the rest of their lives.
